Great Wolf Lodge… more fun with friends

We wanted to surprise the girls and start the Christmas break off with some fun. My friend Kate send out a text to our “crew,” something like, we are going to Great Wolf Lodge, who’s in?

I jumped at the change to go with my bestie of course, I know, I will even endure great wolf lodge for some girl time! The funniest relply to Kate’s text was “I swore I would never go back.”

I booked our room with the promo code HEROS, firefighter perks, try it and see if it works for you. That place is expensive, scary when your kid runs off and they all look the same, but totally worth the pure joy and exhaustion at the end of the day.

tips for GWL.

1. Pack your suits separately (your room will not be ready till 3, but you can use the waterpark right when you get there)
2. The main breakfast downstairs is buffet only, drinks not included. If you like a buffet, you will not be dissapointed. Worth it.
3. Pack snacks for your room for late night munchies.
4. Wait to upgrade your room till after you book, it is like a last minute promo thing. For an extra $50 bucks, I got a kid cabin suite and it would have been more if I just went straight for that room in the first place.
5. Do not pay extra for late check out, just call in the morning and sometimes they will hook you up and be nice, otherwise, just pack up, throw your stuff if the car, get some breakfast, and enjoy the water park all day long till they kick you out!
